HARD
TO FIND MARCH 1968 AVANT GARDE with Marilyn Monroe cover and 11 serigraphs
of Bert Sterns last photos of MM in Day-Glo colors, these are GORGEOUS!,
comes with original mailing wrapper (that has some tears and soiling -
just good condition), my scans do not reflect the colors, the one shown
on the left is actually hot pink, 11" x 11 1/4", excellent condition, the
cover is near mint with no noticeable defects, the serigraphs have a crinkle
on the page shown at the left (top left corner), this crinkle is
reflected on most of the other serigraphs as a line (see bottom scan),
dark mark on the upper right, I think this is a defect but I am not
certain it is not an artistic device, one way or the other the serigraphs
are still gorgeous #MM27167 $75.00

SCARCE
LATE 1800's (probably 1880's or 1890's) VICTORIAN NUDE WOMAN BOOKPLATE,
seems to be either a lithograph or hand-colored (probably the latter),

tight left margin, some foxing (age spots), some wear around the edges
and to the corners - especially the right edge and the bottom right
corner, some light soiling but that is pretty much restricted to the unprinted
areas of the plate #NU29387 $32.00....

SITTING PRETTY,
1920's
- 30's ART DECO PINUP JIGSAW PUZZLE OF WOMAN AND PARROT BY GENE PRESSLER,
made by Mayfair Jig, I forgot to measure the puzzle when I had it together
- I think about 12" x 15", puzzle is complete in original box, good condition
with some wear on a the paper on a few of the pieces, one piece has broken
off inside another (because the connecting piece was made extremely thin
-- you can see this in my photo -- it is one of the 4 pieces on the lower
left corner), the piece is securely inside the other piece though, box
is in good condition too with a break on the corner of the inside of the
box and some minor soiling and wear on the outside of the box
#PU30278 $35.00

TWO WAY STRETCH,
1950's PIN-UP of woman exercising in her underwear, calendar top sample,
illustrated by "Miller", 8" x 10", new old stock, near mint condition
#PU30895 $17.00
SAME AS TO THE
ABOVE - LEFT, very large and attached to a 1955 sample calendar (showing
January only -- it never had any of the other months), whole print
and calendar measure 16" x 33", the illustrated pin-up top measures 16"
x 19 1/2", underneath the pinup top it reads "Your Name Printed Here" with
various other publishing information; condition is fair -- there
a printing miss on the blue background on the lower right corner area (it
does not detract greatly), the calendar was folded into thirds so there
are 2 folds - one through her elbow and the other just above the calendar
page, They are light folds, so they should come out for the most part if
the calendar is stored flat or in a roll; there is also considerable crinkling
on the left side of the print and calendar, I believe it to be a printing
defect because it looks like the kind of effect one would get from exposure
to water, but there is none of the staining that water damage would cause.
There some red discoloration on the edge of the left side but it is not
from water #PU30895b $30.00

THE
TEMPTRESS, 1950's PIN-UP, calendar top sample, 10" x 8", new old stock,
very good condition with printing miss on the top right corner, and a tiny
printing miss on her lip, also the page is not pristine crisp
#PU30896 $15.00

THE TEMPTRESS,
1950's PIN-UP, calendar top sample, looks like it says it was illustrated
by "Hufford", 8" x 10", new old stock, very good condition
#PU30896b $17.00
SAME AS TO THE
ABOVE - LEFT, very large and attached to a 1955 sample calendar (showing
January only -- it never had any of the other months), whole print
and calendar measure 16" x 36", the illustrated top measures 16" x 19 1/2",
underneath the pinup top it reads "Your Name Printed Here" with various
other publishing information; condition is fair -- there are a couple
of printing misses on the red background on the lower right corner area
and a couple more on her neck area (these do not detract greatly), the
calendar was folded into thirds so there are 2 folds - one through her
neck and the other just above the calendar page, They are light folds,
so they should come out for the most part if the calendar is stored flat
or in a roll; there is also considerable crinkling on the left side of
the print and calendar, I believe it to be a printing defect because it
looks like the kind of effect one would get from exposure to water, but
there is none of the staining that water damage would cause, the back side
of print has the deep red coming through, so I am thinking the problem
was caused by the over saturation of the paper with the inks
#PU30896c $40.00
