AUCASSIN SEEKS
FOR NICOLETTE, by Maxfield Parrish, 1903 original printing, on the
bottom left it says "? 1903 Charles Scribner & Sons, NY", on the bottom
right it says "? & Company, NY (from information on other prints, I
have been able to discover that it probably says "A. Grignard and Company,
NY "), 11 1/4" x 16", has 1" cropped off (I think it is all off the
top), GREAT COLOR, fine condition with a tear (small hole) in the
print in the rocks behind Aucassin on the right side of the print but it
does not show much because it blends in, some wear around the edges and
corners, foxing on the reverse but not on the front, no frame
#MP27857 $750.00 or reasonable offer -- Please
feel free to inquire for additional information

CHRISTMAS
EVE BY MAXFIELD PARRISH, Brown & Bigelow, 1946, original printing,
A New England village at the foot of the mountains. Gift print on
textured deckle edge mat, bottom left of the print has "Maxfield
Parrish 1946", Seasons Greeting card is single light weight sheet ( 3 3/4"
x 4 3/4") attached to the back of the matting, print also comes with
a light weight onion-skin-like piece of paper (6" x 7 3/4") that describes
the print, there is also an envelope but I do not know if it is original
or not, 17" x 12 1/2" including the matte, print area (not including the
white margin on the print that reads "Christmas Eve" and "Maxfield
Parrish") is 8 3/8 x 10 7/8", excellent to very good condition,
Unused, vivid in color, but a small scuff like mark between the brook and
the bush on the print, a couple of pressure point indents on the right
margin of the matte from handling, also a coupe of small spots of discoloration
(like foxing) on the right margin (will gladly provide a scan of this if
you want it. I was just trying to avoid handling the print as much
as possible). #MP29670 $250.00

DREAM LIGHT
1925 EDISON-MAZDA CALENDAR TOP BY MAXFIELD PARRISH, original printing,
6 1/2" x10 1/4", colors are very rich -- much richer and vibrant than in
my poor photo. It is in a frame (the frame I found it in behind another
picture) which looks to be a strange creature. It is like a typical
Parrish 1920's Art Deco style frame, but it looks like maybe the color
started chipping and someone put varnish on it because the colors on the
frame are dark and the finish is shiny. I would reframe it in a period
frame if it were going to be in my collection as the modification to the
frame probably occurred to accent the picture that was on top (and protecting
the colors of this Parrish calendar top) and any 1920's framing of a Parrish
calendar was probably done unprofessionally to begin with. Condition
of calendar top is near mint. I find no defects except that it was
taken from its calendar. Condition of the frame is good as it is
strong. There is no glass in the frame (as I found it), but I will
put some in it if you want me to. You can have this shipped
with or without the frame and with or without glass. Your call.
