VERY LARGE HAEGER
MATTE IVORY PORCELAIN MADONNA PLANTER (or you could call it a JARDINIERE),
harder-to-find version with no cuffs, marked "Haeger USA" in blue on the
bottom, about 14" high, 9" across and 10" deep, good condition, there is
a hairline crack in the front in the draping of her robe at the bottom
of the jardiniere which is not a glaring defect because it blends with
the draping (I failed to see it before I listed this item on my site);
there is a small and fine line on the back of her neck which I think it
is another hairline, but it does not go through to the other side of the
pottery and I cannot feel it with my nail so it could be just a scratch,
because it is in the back of the planter and it is soo fine, it really
does not detract from the looks of the piece at all; The 2 things that
detract the most (but still not a lot) are 2 under-the-glaze production
defects - one is a small dark spot above her breast; the other is
two small light spots (almost like a broken line) of very pale blue
on her temple (under the glaze); finally, there are a couple of other production
defects that are very small and very typical of Haeger pottery
#AP30563 $18.00
