.		 PLATE #4   ETCHING AND PHOTOGRAVURE OF SAINT PAUL'S CHURCH IN STOCKBRIDGE, MASSACHUSETTS, ETCHING OF FRONT ELEVATION AND FIRST FLOOR PLAN AND PHOTOGRAVURE OF FRONT FACADE
CAPTIONED "ST. PAUL'S CHURCH - STOCKBRIDGE, MASS.", sepia tone, very  good to fine condition with the main body of the plate in excellent condition with a few stray marks from the printing process, there is also a very light smudge to the right of the floor plan, there is some yellowing around the edges, the  top right corner has a nick out of it and the bottom right corner has a slightly larger (still small) nick.  Both of the nicks are small enough that they would be covered up by the lip of a frame.   The other two corners show slight wear.  There are two tears in the bottom margin - one comes 1/4" from the embossed edge and the other comes 5/8" from the embossed edge.

, 		 PLATE #122   ETCHING  OF THE ELEVATION OF THE RADCLIFFE COLLEGE GYMNASIUM AND PHOTOGRAVURE OF THE FACADE,  CAPTIONED "RADCLIFFE COLLEGE GYMNASIUM, CAMBRIDGE, MASS., 1899", FINE CONDITION.  THERE IS SOME YELLOWING AROUND THE EDGES.  THE MAIN PROBLEM IS THE CONDITION OF THE CORNERS.   THE TOP LEFT CORNER HAS A SMALL SHALLOW NICK OUT OF IT, BUT THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER HAS A LARGER NICK OUT OF IT (1/2" ALONG THE LEFT EDGE AND 1 3/8" ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE).  THIS STILL CAN BE EASILY MATTED OUT.  YOU MIGHT BE ABLE TO FIND A FRAME WITH A THINK ENOUGH EDGE THAT IT WOULD NOT NEED MATTING.  THERE IS A TINY 1/8" TEAR ON THE BOTTOM EDGE TOWARD THE RIGHT SIDE.  THERE ARE A FEW STRAY MARKS FROM THE  PRINTING PROCESS.  #122

,THE MONOGRAPH FROM WHICH THE ARCHITECTURAL PLATES ABOVE CAME HAD ABOUT 400 LOOSE PLATES (I have only ever had about half of them).  MOST ARE FROM NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK STATE AND NEW JERSEY.  THERE IS A GOOD AMOUNT FROM NEW ENGLAND AND THEN A FEW FROM ELSEWHERE (BALTIMORE, DETROIT, MONTREAL CANADA).  THESE ARCHITECTURAL PAGES LIST THOSE WHICH ARE AVAILABLE.  PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT.
