R. Atkinson Fox calendar

R. Atkinson Fox calendar

R. Atkinson Fox calendar

PALS,  SCARCE R. ATKINSON FOX 1929 CALENDAR OF BOY AND COLLIE, not signed Fox but this is in the Rita Mortensen Vol. 2 identification guide, paper hanging calendar with metal top, calendar portion is stapled on, whole print and calendar are 13 1/2" x 20", Fox print area (it is printed right on the sheet-- not applied) is 8" x 10" (not including the colored borders around it,)  Fox portion is in good condition with the one crinkle/crease (looks worse in my scan than in reality, but it is there and it does detract), as a whole the piece is in  good to fair condition, the top of the sheet is tearing away from the metal top, the paper hanger is worn and may not hold the calendar any longer (I have not tried), there are tears and nicks in the edges all the way around, there is some mild soiling on the sheet (not on the Fox area or the calendar), calendar has a dog ear, lovely print -- looks better than it sounds   #RAF30083    $45.00   SOLD

LARGE WALL HANGING OF COLLIE, ENGLISH SETTER AND IRISH SETTER, probably from the 1940s, measures 21 1/2" wide and 41" long, 2 layers of material -  The top layer ( a kind of thick crepe) has been made to look like wood; the picture measures about 19 1/2" x 31", the loose backing material is a mustard yellow and feels like thin crepe, comes with a wooden hanging pole but there is nothing to hang the pole with, there is hand stitching around the dogs' faces and bodies which helps highlight the dogs, there is a thin strip of dark gold decoration along the bottom, with dark gold cord loops, no maker's name, excellent condition as I see no damage or repairs, it probably needs dry cleaning as it has been put away for a number of years, the yellow backing has a number of white paint splashes, some loose threads at the hem and a few small pulls  to the crepe - nothing that really detracts

#COL27675    $47.00
