1930's
- '40's FRAMED HAND-EMBROIDERED PEACOCK PICTURE, frame is gesso over
wood, off white with grey highlights on ridges of the frame, embroidery
work measures 17" x 20', outside frame measure 18 1/2" x 21 1/2", please
note that the needleperson had some composition problems as the bottom

very slight wear on the frame, a couple of foxing (age) spots on the linen
background and a tiny dark spot on the linen which I think is a material
defect - it really doe snot detract much DC29031

FRAMED 1955 PRINT
OF GORGEOUS GERMAN SHEPHERD DOG (GSD), titled "Portrait", this print is
from Diane Thorne's book of dog sketches Dogs, the print is not
matted, it looks to be dry-mounted on black board, and sealed in a period
frame, the frame is an off-white wooden frame, print is 10 1/4" x 13 1/2",
inside frame is 15" x 18", outside frame is 15 3/4" x 18 3/4", excellent
to fine condition, there is the remnants of a crease on the left side of
the print, this is very difficult to see because the print is dry-mounted,
there is no left margin because that was how it was printed in the book

1933 FRAMED COTTAGE
PICTURE, bottom middle says "4101 c. B.O. 1933", flowers look like R. Atkinson
Fox flowers but I have not found the print in the one book I have on him,
12" x 16", originally gold colored wooden frame, good condition with
some waviness on the print and some light discoloration in the waves, also
two spots of light discoloration above the trees (don't know what caused
them) and a small spot of rust on the bottom edge of the picture (blends
with the picture so difficult to see) also considerable wear on the color
of the frame - most of it is gone, BUT it does look much better than it
sounds, most of the defects (except for the waviness and the wear on the
frame) detract very little PR29042
